Side effects

Side-effects which are common in children taking Zithromax include vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. Rare side-effects fever, rash, loss of appetite and nausea. Most of these side-effects usually wear off the next day the child takes Zithromax.

If your child has an allergic reaction to azithromycin, erythromycin, or any other antibiotic do not try using Zithromax.

Call your healthcare provider immediately in case your child vomits, has hives, trouble swallowing, swelling of the face or throat, breathes hardly after taking Zithromax.
